Teaching Students from Drexel University

Hello all;

I have this amazing opportunity to teach Advanced studio photography at Drexel University. For the first day of class, I took them out on location to do lifestyle photography. I taught them how to take professional pictures with a professional model. They loved it and we had an amazing time.

These are the model shoots:

Featured Video: Shanghai Waltz on Clickbooq

This video montage depicts China through the western "HD" eye and captures the controlled chaos of humanity as well as the complex, bizarre, yet peaceful culture of our friends to the east. Enjoy!

**Special thanks to Brazilian DJ Mixhell and New Judas Records for giving us permission to use their awesome song!**

Since Clickbooq loved my HD video of Shanghai Waltz, they featured it on their blog. They found out that the video is great and the rhythm and pace of the footage are fantastic.

Spy Shoot | Carlyle Rooftop

On quite possibly the nicest day of the entire summer, my incredible crew and I found ourselves on the Carlyle roof top in center city Philadelphia. Our mission, if we so chose to accept it (which we did) was to capture the stunning model Meier, Amanda Meier, in a spy-theme dusk rooftop shoot! What started out as a Shoot with James Bond in mind quickly transformed into one of the most exciting and gorgeous high fashion shoots I have had the pleasure of photographing. Below I have posted some of the best looks from the evening. Enjoy !

Peter Magee Memorial Surf Tribute

Recently at the beach, I was lucky enough to experience a very touching tribute. The ceremony, dedicated to lifeguard Peter Magee, was held at Ventnor City Beach in New Jersey. As the sun set, a magical vibe enveloped the beach as Pete's friends paddled out, roses clenched between teeth, forming a circle remembering their friend. While photographing the memorial, an Atlantic gust swept over the beach with the smell of oncoming autumn, helping be consiously savor one of the last beautiful nights of another "endless summer". Here are a few photos of the ceremony.

CHINA SERIES Pt. 1

Ni hao suoyou! (Hello all!)

I recently returned from a two week trip to China and it was absolutely incredible. I took Eleven THOUSAND pictures and also started to experiment with my camera's HD video capabilities. Over the next few weeks, I will take you on my journey, photographically speaking of course, as I post photographs from different parts of my trip...Wansui! (Yay!)

Ben Franklin is Hungry!

Last week my friend J Ward Larkin posed in his classic Ben Franklin regalia around the city on a great Philadelphia afternoon. The rain held off, but Ben's appetite did not! After we hit up Geno's Steaks where Ben was a huge hit with a school field trip and the local South Phillie's, we went back up to Carpenter's Hall where in 1774 Ben and his friends sat down and among other things talked about how to beat those bloody lobster backs!

Wissahickon River Shoot

This past week we traveled just outside Philly to do a lifestyle shoot in the Wissahickon with our stunning blonde model Lauren Baldwin. We found the perfect spot along the river next to the second oldest house still standing in Philadelphia, it was built in 1784! Lauren was not afraid to get wet and we captured some fantastic shots of her in and around the water.

In other news, I recently promoted my two interns! Christine is now officially my Art Director while Kyle will be my Editor. Together we are unstoppable! Relentless! Fantastic!

Philly Mag!

This is my first tear for Philly Mag. It was really fun to do product/still life photography for a change, considering my main focus and passion is people. At the beginning of every year, one of my goals is to target one new client to work with. This year it was Philly Mag. This shoot was a lot of fun. Next year, Cover Shot!

Juniper Street Photo Shoot

This past Tuesday was awesome. We started off the day shooting Ryan at my house with a class of Drexel University photography students. After finishing up the inside shots and getting our beautiful model Lauren all done up, we hit up Juniper Street and had a fabulous shoot, despite the harsh weather. Check out these shots of Drexel Professor Paul and his students, my wonderful interns, and of course our two beautiful models Lauren and Ryan!
