Recently at the beach, I was lucky enough to experience a very touching tribute. The ceremony, dedicated to lifeguard Peter Magee, was held at Ventnor City Beach in New Jersey. As the sun set, a magical vibe enveloped the beach as Pete's friends paddled out, roses clenched between teeth, forming a circle remembering their friend. While photographing the memorial, an Atlantic gust swept over the beach with the smell of oncoming autumn, helping be consiously savor one of the last beautiful nights of another "endless summer". Here are a few photos of the ceremony.

The first picture series I am posting from the trip features the local Rickshaw drivers, children and their parents, a sample of the local fare, and shots of the unique architecture and landscape I came across. Enjoy!
